Aeromedical examinations
Whether you are an initial or experienced pilot, you always need to complete a certified medical examination. This medical certificate, provided by the EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency), is mandatory in the aviation sector. At Sky Medical Center we can perform the necessary medical checks. Initial and experienced class 1, 2 and 3 pilots and cabin crew can use our services and receive the necessary certificates.
The full process of a certified initial pilot medical examination
The first step to arranging a certified initial pilot medical examination is providing our employees with the necessary information. They will have to know your personal information as well as your medical history and the status of your eyesight. You have to communicate the specifics about whether you wear prescription glasses or not. After receiving the necessary information, we give you a call to schedule your appointment. On the day of the appointment, the certified medical examination usually has a duration of approximately 4 hours and most of the time you will receive the certificates on the same day to become an initial pilot. This is possible for all classes of pilots, recreational and professional, but also aviation cabin crew.
