EASA Class 2 aero medical examination
Are you a private pilot (PPL), glider pilot outside Europe (SPL) or balloon pilot (BPL)? If so, you need an EASA Class 2 medical certificate to fly recreationally.
How do you apply for an EASA Class 2 inspection?
Our medical examination assesses whether you meet aviation safety standards.
✔ No medical details? Then you will receive your certificate immediately.
✔ Do you have a medical condition or medication use? Our medical examiner will assess, possibly in consultation with the ILT or another European CAA, whether you can be certified with a disability.

Important information
Duration initial examination: ± 1.5 hours
Duration re-inspection: ± 1 hour
Preparation: You may eat and drink.
Additional costs: € 125,- per hour (excl. VAT) if the doctor needs to do extra work after your arrival
Validity period of the medical certificate
✅ Up to 40 years: 60 months (max. valid until 42nd birthday)
✅ 40 - 50 years: 24 months (max. valid until 51st birthday)
✅ From 50 years: 12 months
Renewal of your medical certificate
You can renew your certificate up to 45 days before the expiration date without changing the expiration date.
