Class 1 pilot medical
A certified aeromedical centre such as Sky Medical Center is authorised to carry out Class 1, Class 2 and LAPL aeromedical examinations and to issue the medical certificate. Sky Medical Center is happy to help you with your Class 1 pilot medical. We are a specialised aeromedical centre, and our expert staff are involved in aviation as, among other things, repatriation doctors and pilots. Aviation personnel, such as professional and recreational pilots, can come to our qualified Aeromedical Examiners (AMEs) for a range of medical examinations. Besides a Class 1 pilot medical, you can also have, for example, an FAA medical or an EASA LAPL medical for drones with us.
Class 1 pilot medical
At Sky Medical Center, aviation enthusiasts are examined every day. The Class 1 pilot medical always starts with an explanation and completing an application form. You then have a comprehensive medical examination. The EASA pilot medical includes a blood pressure measurement, weight and height measurement, a urine test, lensometry (measuring your glasses) and a general physical examination. Depending on your age and medical history, additional tests such as audiometry, an ECG and spirometry may be required.

Medical certificate
If your medical test results are within the set limits, you are declared fit and leave our centre with your medical certificate straight away. The certificate for a Class 1 pilot medical is generally valid for 12 months. If you are 60 or older, the certificate is valid for 6 months. Would you like to make an appointment? Book online.
