Glider pilot medical
For a professional glider pilot medical, Sky Medical Center is the place to be. As a qualified Aeromedical Centre (AeMC), we are happy to help when you need an aeromedical examination. The Sky Medical Center team works at our locations in Amsterdam, Rijswijk (until 31 December 2026), Eindhoven and Beek. Besides a glider pilot medical, you can also come to us for other examinations, such as an FAA medical.
Glider pilot medical under European requirements
Both professional and recreational pilots must be medically examined before they may fly an aircraft, glider or drone on their own. We carry out the glider pilot medical and all other examinations according to the requirements laid down in European law: the EASA regulations. The purpose of an examination is to determine whether your health could pose a risk to flight safety. Do you still hold a KNVvL medical declaration? It remains valid until 8 April 2020 at the latest. You can of course also choose to have Sky Medical Center examine you now for an EASA LAPL medical certificate. Under the age of 40 this medical is valid for 5 years, and from age 40 the EASA LAPL medical is valid for 2 years.
10% discount for flying club members
Members of an affiliated flying club receive a 10% discount on all aeromedical examinations.
